    I'm 90% sure that Princess Half Marathon will be my first distance run. Of the host resorts which ones are the best supporting the experience such as location to events/park, race, easy transportation activities. I have several more ??'s coming ur way :)

    Hi Nicole!  The Princess Half Marathon in 2009 was my first long race too!  I am sure you will love it and be hooked on runDisney when you cross that finish line!

    As for host resorts, the Deluxe Resorts are a little bit more plush and offer closer distances to the parks.  My favorite resorts are the ones in the Epcot area (Beach Club, Yacht Club and Boardwalk)  I love being able to walk into the International Gateway entrance at Epcot.  It's also great for strolling around the Boardwalk area.  I feel it offers more restaurants in walking distance too.  The monorail resorts (Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and Contemporary) are very convenient and close to the Magic Kingdom. 

    That being said, ALL of the Disney resorts are great in their own way.  They all have fun pool areas, and of course, they are all exceptionally clean.
