I'm sure this has been asked but we are going to Disney and we are on the dining plan. What are some good snacks to use our voucher (the plan) to?

    Hi, Alicia!

I am so glad you asked!

We never use a snack credit on a bottle of water or Powerade. We bring our own ice water into the parks, saving a snack credit for something special. Similarly, we bring portable items such as fruit snacks, pouches of granola and nuts, etc., so that we can snack as we tour, again, saving that snack credit for something really special. There are some quirks involved, such as funnel cakes in Magic Kingdom counting as a DDP snack, but funnel cakes in Epcot do not. Basically, the price of the item and the fact that it's likely not protein-based will be a good rule of thumb here.

Per park, some of our favorites are the following snacks:

Magic Kingdom: Casey's Corner (fries with cheese); Pecos Bill Tale Tale Inn (onion rings); Plaza Ice Cream Parlor (double scoop!); The Lunching Pad (sweet cream cheese-filled pretzel); Sleepy Hollow (funnel cake); Storybook Treats (sundaes); Gaston's Tavern (cinnamon rolls); Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies (ice cream floats); Main Street Confectionery (candy counter goodness!)

Epcot: France Pavilion's Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie (pastries) and Crepes des Chefs de France; Norway's Kringla Bakery; Germany's Karamel Kuche; The Land's Sunshine Seasons (desserts)

Hollywood Studios: Beverly Sunset Sweet Spells (frozen slush or carrot cake cookie); Starring Rolls (chocolate croissant); Oasis Canteen (funnel cake); Dinosaur Gertie's (ice cream waffle cone)

Animal Kingdom: Harambe Fruit Market (jalapeno cheese stuffed soft pretzel); Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery (apple turnover); Safari Coffee (cupcakes); Camp Kiosk (funnel cake)

Let me know which resort you'll be visiting and if you'll venture to Downtown Disney, too. Lot of other favorites elsewhere, too!
