Marilyn from OR Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hello, I’m sure the answer is no but I’m going to ask anyway:)! Is there anyway to pay for a seat for any of the parades, fireworks, shows such as Fantasmic, etc. without having to do a VIP tour or pay for a meal? Thanks

Hi Marilyn! Welcome back to planDisney! Thanks so much for sending another question our way.

I'm happy to hear you're planning a vacation at The Happiest Place on Earth! When it comes to something you're wishing for, it never hurts to ask! At this time, reserved seating for fireworksparades, and nighttime spectaculars is only offered with a dining package, dessert party, or certain tours. I can tell you from my personal experience that having a reserved seat for entertainment is completely worth making these special reservations. Not only do you end up with a great seat, but you don't have to sit and save a spot hours ahead of time when you can enjoy the rest of the theme parks.

I noticed that your visit will be during Disneyland's 70th Anniversary Celebration! There will be many new entertainment offerings including Paint the Night Parade, World of Color Happiness!, and Wondrous Journeys. While we don't yet know what dining packages or dessert parties might be offered, I would recommend considering booking one if they become available. When I'm thinking about the extra cost of things like this, my thought is that I'm going to eat anyway and I'm also on vacation, so it's nice to make the most of every experience!

Be sure to check out the Special Offers and Discounts to see if any would apply to the dates of your visit. You could potentially save money on your hotel stay and that could help with booking any extra experiences.

If you have more questions before you arrive, please visit us again at planDisney. We can't wait for you to be our guest, and we would love to help!

    Wishing you magic,
    Lisa
