I'm super exciting for my first 5k @ the Royal Family 5k in Feb but I noticed that a lot of people are running it with a buddy, sister, husband, etc. My hubby will be watching but I will be running alone..will I be out of place? Thanks for all your advice!

    Hi Charlene!

The Royal Family 5K is so much fun!  I can tell you with the utmost sincerity that NO ONE feels out of place at runDisney events.  They are truly for everyone, and everyone is your friend.  I know it sounds cheesy, but it's entirely true.

You will see a lot of people running in groups, dressed in costumes, etc., but there will also be those running alone.  There will be really fast runners, and there will be athletes that walk the entire course.  It's all fine!  I have run at Disney with lots of friends, a few friends, my husband, and sometimes by myself.  I have never had any trouble making pals along the way, and usually there will be someone close by that's more than willing to snap your picture with your favorite Disney characters!

In fact, I plan to run the Royal Family 5K solo this year too, so maybe we will "run" into each other!

And of course, you will be able to run into your husband's arms at the finish line to celebrate your achievement!

Please let me know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your race weekend!
