Hi Julie!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for visiting us with your question today, about my FAVOURITE subject - the Walt Disney World Water Parks - I love them so much, I actually went to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon on my wedding day! It looks like you are planning a trip to
The Most Magical Place on Earth this November, let's splash straight into your question!
Currently, it is not confirmed which Water Park will be open in November this year. For a definitive answer, you are going to want to check the Disney World website 60 days in advance of your visit. You may know that this summer,
for the first time in forever (well, 2019), both Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach are open simultaneously, currently this is currently scheduled to end in September.
In my experience, Guests usually enjoy
Blizzard Beach in the winter months, whilst Typhoon Lagoon has a winter refurbishment. We were lucky with our visit dates last year, as Typhoon Lagoon was open for most of our vacation and closed for Blizzard Beach to reopen on November 4th, so we were able to experience Summit Plummet the day before we flew home!
The great news is, Julie, no matter which Disney Water Park is open during your visit, you’re in for a brilliant day. Whether you're taking on the slides, relaxing on a lounger, or bobbing along the lazy river, there’s something for everyone. If you want to make your water park day even more special, I’d definitely recommend looking into a
Beachcomber Shack at Typhoon Lagoon or a
Polar Patio at Blizzard Beach. They’re a perfect central base, with shade, comfy seating, a locker and cold water included.
I hope you have a brilliant vacation at Walt Disney World, Julie. If you have any further vacation planning questions, please
reach out to me. I'd love to help!
See ya real soon!
Matt
