If I'm staying at the Yacht Club and want to go to the Magic Kingdon without moving my car, is it more efficient to use the monorail system from Epcot to Magic Kingdom and then return to our hotel using the monorail system as well?

    Hi Carol,

You are going to have such a marvelous time staying at Disney's Yacht Club Resort! It is a beautiful and elegant hotel right in the middle of Walt Disney World Resort. I hope you make as many magical memories there as I have over the years.

While you could walk or take a boat from your hotel to Epcot and then catch a series of two monorails to Magic Kingdom Park from the front of Epcot, this is not the most efficient way to reach your destination. (This path would also require you to use theme park admission to walk to the front of Epcot.) You would be far better to board a Magic Kingdom-bound bus at the front of Disney's Yacht Club Resort. This complimentary Disney bus will drop you right in front of Magic Kingdom Park. It couldn't be any more convenient, and you don't need to move your personal car from your hotel parking lot. This is definitely the best way to reach your destination. Similarly, a bus back to Disney's Yacht Club at the end of your visit to Magic Kingdom Park is more direct than traveling through Epcot to reach your hotel.

Please feel free to post additional questions if you have them. I particularly love Walt Disney World Resort transportation questions and would be happy to help you find the most efficient means to get where you want to go.

Sending you pixie dust and best wishes,
    Jill
