I'm staying at the Wyndham garden lake Buena Vista and wanted to get to the park for early entry. However I'm being told the first shuttle only leaves at 7 and early entry is 730am. Is it better to walk to Saratoga springs?

    Welcome to planDisney, Tania!

I love that you are planning for an exciting visit to Walt Disney World Resort in just a few short weeks. Are you packed? Are you ready? Have you made your dining reservations? I’m sorry to flood you with all the questions, but the time before you arrive is my favorite time. The anticipation, the build-up, and the final countdown are the best moments. Of course, once you arrive, it all becomes even more exciting, but I also enjoy all the planning before.

As far as arriving early enough for early entry, I recommend using a ride share from your resort to the theme parks. The buses at Saratoga Springs are intended for Guests staying at that resort. Of course, you always have the option to change your resort if transportation is a must for you. Walt Disney World Bus Services is a Disney Resort Hotel benefit. These buses begin running 45 minutes prior to opening and end one hour after closing. The transportation benefit and traveling with little ones are what made my love for Disney Resort Hotels grow even more!

Tania, I also recommend giving your resort shuttle a try. Time it out to see how long it takes you to arrive at the theme parks. Your shuttle might surprise you and get you to the theme parks with enough time to maximize your theme park time. Even if you arrive a few minutes after opening, I just know you’ll have the best day ever!

I can’t wait to hear all about your theme park adventures. If there’s anything else we can help with, please let us know.

     Enjoy the final countdown!

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
