I'm staying @ the Wilderness Lodge and have b-fast reservations for 8:35 at 1900 Park Fair but I'm now worried that we may not be able to arrive there due to the boat shuttle leaving the W.L. Could you advise me on transportation from the W.L.?

    Hi Michele,

You are staying and dining and some great resorts!  You'll have a wonderful time.

In order to get from Disney's Wilderness Lodge to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa for your reservation at 8:35 a.m. at 1900 Park Fare, I would suggest taking a taxi.  The fare for a taxi for this trip should be under $10.  You can easily get a taxi from the lobby of any Walt Disney World resort.  Due to the early morning nature of your trip, I would suggest calling the concierge at the resort approximately a half an hour before your would like to leave and asking if there are taxis available.  If there are not taxis waiting at that time, ask the concierge to please call one for you.  I suggest calling the concierge at 7:30 a.m. and asking for a taxi at 8:00 a.m.  This will get you to your reservation with plenty of time.

I am hesitant to suggest using Disney transportation for this trip.  To utilize Disney transportation, you would need to take either the bus or the boat from the Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom, and then transfer to either the monorail or a different boat to get to the Grand Floridian.  Transportation from Disney's Wilderness Lodge begins one hour before park opening.  So, if Magic Kingdom opens at 9:00 a.m. on the day that you are going, transportation from your resort would begin at 8:00 a.m.  Given both potential wait times for transportation, plus a transfer in the middle, I do not believe that Disney transportation is a viable option for this trip.

Happily, taxis are easy to get and relatively inexpensive.  I hope this advice helps, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
