Hi Laura,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I am a big proponent of bringing food and snacks on a Walt Disney World vacation, so I appreciated your question!
In the Deluxe Studios at
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, you’ll find smaller, dorm-sized refrigerators. In my experience, this style of refrigerator does contain a small freezer, but I would not trust it to keep meat products fully frozen, and getting sick on your magical vacation would be no fun at all. We usually put water bottles in the freezer unit overnight, and in the morning, the water is not fully frozen. I’ve also heard that the refrigerators in the Deluxe Studio rooms are being replaced with non-freezer versions to make more room for refrigerated items, so I can’t guarantee there will be one in there at all. I can confirm that the kitchenette in Deluxe Studio rooms does contain a microwave. Perhaps there's a brand of chicken nuggets that can be kept refrigerated instead of frozen?
If having a fully-functioning freezer in your room is a must, I recommend checking for availability in One-Bedroom Villas, which do contain full refrigerator units, along with a full kitchen, and in-room washers and dryers. We love this amenity because it means popsicles after pool time!
Laura, enjoy your time at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. You’re just a short walk or boat ride away from the amazing food, drinks, and shopping at Disney Springs. Since we’re talking about frozen things, I love to enjoy a Dockside Margarita (pro tip: if you ask, your bartender can make you a swirled margarita and piña colada and it is magical) and soak up the entertainment while shopping for unique souvenirs and enjoying the street entertainment.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
