Hi. I'm staying at the Riverside resort and was wondering if there is a water taxi to Downtown Disney from that resort, or do I have to go to the French Quarters? If I decide to rent a car, can I do that at the resort? Thanks!

    Hi Bill,

Yes, there is a water taxi that runs from Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside to Downtown Disney. In fact, I rode it last month during my most recent visit.  How convenient!  The water taxi may also stop at Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter but you will not need to disembark there and switch to a different boat.  Just stay seated and you'll be at Downtown Disney in no time.

There is not a rental car desk at your home resort but you can rent a car from National/Alamo at the Car Care Center near the Magic Kingdom or from the Dolphin near Epcot.  If you call them in advance to make arrangements they will come to pick you up at your resort.

    Have fun!
