Hello (again), Roxanne!
Thanks for asking another question. My planDisney pals and I love helping Guests like you plan their next Disney holiday.
I mentioned this in my answer to your previous question, but the Preferred Rooms at Disney's All-Star Music Resort have views of the Courtyard, Pool, or Parking Area. Location-wise, they are close to Melody Hall (i.e. the lobby), Dining, Shopping, and Transportation. You can certainly request a ground floor through your My Disney Experience account.
To make a room request, sign in to your My Disney Experience account using your internet browser. Then follow these steps:
- Click "My Plans."
- Scroll down to your hotel reservation and click "Start Check-in."
- Scroll down to the section that says, "These Details Are on File - Hotel Account PIN, Room Requests, Reservation Address" and click "Show Details."
- Click "Edit" next to "Room Requests."
You'll discover a number of room request options, which vary depending on the hotel. You should be able to request a ground-floor room. You can actually make up to 2 requests. Cast Members will try their utmost to grant your requests, however, there are no guarantees.
Once you select your requests, complete the other relevant sections (i.e. approximate arrival time, credit card details, etc.) and then click "Save."
When you arrive at Disney's All-Star Music Resort, you can mention to a Cast Member that you requested a ground-floor room due to your mobility issues. If they haven't already assigned a ground-floor room to you, they'll do their best to find you one.
I hope that's helpful, Roxanne. Thanks for choosing to be our Guest.
Mike
