I’m staying at Port Orleans French quarter and also plan to go to the water park while we are there. Do I need to bring beach towels with me?

    Hi Carrie!
    Welcome to planDisney.

I'm very happy to see that you are planning some time at the water parks during your trip. There is something a little more relaxing about the water parks, than the possibly more exciting and energetic (and very wonderful) theme parks.

As you are a guest staying at a Disney Resort hotel - Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter - you will not only be able to request towels at the water parks, but you will be given complimentary use of them.  My top tip is that you arrive early - maybe 30 minutes before water park opening time - so you can visit the gift shop to collect your towels and purchase the use of a locker (if you need somewhere to store your valuables) all in plenty of time before rope drop.  Visit Singapore Sal's at Typhoon Lagoon, or Beach Haus at Blizzard Beach.

If you are taking Disney transport to the water parks, for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon you'll need to take a bus from your hotel to Disney Springs, and then transfer to another bus for Disney's Typhoon Lagoon.  For Disney's Blizzard Beach - take a bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and transfer to the bus for Disney's Blizzard Beach from there.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions, and you can send me a direct question if you wish.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World.
