Hi I'm staying at POR and have dinner reservations at Boma at AKL what's the best way to and from AKL

    Hi Deborah,

You've chosen one of my favorite resorts and one of my top Walt Disney World restaurants. My family loves Boma and eats there often for both breakfast and dinner.

As much as we love the Animal Kingdom Lodge restaurants, it can be a little more difficult to get to the secluded resort from other resorts. As you may know, the complimentary Walt Disney World transportation does not run directly from resort to resort. If you are heading to Boma from Port Orleans Riverside, you will need to transfer to an Animal Kingdom Lodge bus at one of the theme parks or Disney Springs. I would probably make the transfer at Animal Kingdom or at Hollywood Studios since those are between your resort and Animal Kingdom Lodge.

For your return after dinner, you can catch a bus to one of the parks or Disney Springs, then transfer to transportation to your resort.

Or you may want to consider a taxi or Uber directly to Port Orleans. My family consistently uses the Disney transportation system when we are vacationing. The only time we splurge on a taxi or Uber is when we're dining late at Boma or Jiku. It's the quickest way to get back to another resort. The ride is relatively inexpensive. It should be less than $20.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Deborah. Please let us know if you have any other questions that we can help with. Enjoy your dinner at Boma, and make sure you save room for the zebra domes at dessert!
