Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    I'm staying at POP in December and would like a room close to the main bldg w/o paying for a preferred room. Any suggestions on which bldg to request when checking in? Thank again. You Guys and Gals Rock!

    Hi!

    You could request a specific building, but I think that would not be the best option.  It will limit the flexibility of the Disney Cast Members in trying to meet your request; if that particular building is not available, they might stick you far away!  Instead, I recommend requesting exactly what you wrote in your question:  you would like the closest non-preferred room to Classic Hall (the main building at the resort).

    By the way, I recommend putting the request in now (basically attached to your reservation), and then calling Pop Century 1 or 2 days before you arrive (but not before that) to make your request again, and then finally when you are actually there checking-in!  That gives you the best chance of getting what you really want!

    By the way, I think you have made a great decision.  Pop Century is my favorite Disney Value Resort.  It has the best bus service, because it currently doesn't share a bus with any other resorts and it has the best food court!  I hope this helps!  Write back with any more questions!
