Hi Renee!
Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this question about
Disney's Pop Century Resort. You are going to love this wonderfully vibrant and fun Resort hotel, and staying close to the bus transportation is a great way to make your vacation more convenient.
There are four room types at Disney's Pop Century Resort: Standard Room, Standard Pool View, Preferred Room and Preferred Pool View. The difference between any of the Standard Room types and Preferred Room types is the distance to Classic Hall, which is where you can pick up the complimentary
Walt Disney World Resort Bus Service. Any Preferred Room would put you within a short walking distance to the bus transportation.
The rooms closest to Classic Hall would be in the 1960s building. If that building is not available, the 1950s and 1970s buildings would also be good choices. Although room and building requests are not guaranteed, in my experience, Cast Members will do their best to honor those requests. Take a look at this
map of Disney's Pop Century Resort, which will show you the location of the buildings in relationship to Classic Hall and the pools, including the sprawling Hippy Dippy Pool.
Speaking of bus transportation, you'll be happy to know that one of my favorite features of Disney's Pop Century Resort is that it has its own dedicated bus line. This means you will not have to make stops at other Resort hotels, which saves time (and allows for more fun in the theme parks!).
Wishing you magical memories!
Erin
