Hi there, Sarah!
Thanks for popping over to planDisney with your question! You're sure to love your stay at
Disney's Pop Century Resort. Its proximity to Hour Glass Lake and the
jogging trail that winds around it are just two of the many reasons I have used Pop Century as my magical home base numerous times. With its fun theming and access to the
Disney Skyliner, it boasts an abundance of magic at a budget-friendly price.
After conducting a bit of research, it appears that you will have a better chance of securing a room with a lake view by booking a
Standard View room. The location required to have a view of the lake actually negates the
preferred nature of a preferred room. Since there is no 'Lake View' room category at Pop Century, you will need to make a room request during your
online check-in or by calling
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations before your arrival. My favorite buildings that offer lake views are the 60s and 70s themed buildings. I absolutely love the iconic Mickey Mouse telephone, and I'm always able to forget about my worries and my strife when I see the larger-than-life Baloo.
Sarah, I encourage you to utilize the Disney Skyliner during your stay, not just to access EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, but to also explore two incredibly themed Disney Resort Hotels,
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and
Disney's Riviera Resort. The
Tangled and Peter Pan mosaics at Riviera are definitely worth a visit.
Your vacation will be here before you know it, Sarah. I hope it results in many magical memories. If you have any additional questions before you head to The Most Magical Place on Earth, feel free to
pop in again!
Cheers to 2024,
Lizzie
