Welcome to planDisney, Nicole!
Disney’s Pop Century Resort is a blast from the past in the best possible way. Each section of this hotel celebrates a different decade. Look out for larger-than-life features like giant foosball players and a massive Mickey telephone! My family stayed here a couple of years ago. It's got that fun, colorful vibe that makes you feel like you’re walking through a scrapbook of pop culture. The Hippy Dippy Pool is also a pretty groovy spot to cool off after a park day.
When it comes to the water parks, there aren’t direct buses from Pop Century to
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. Instead, you’ll take a bus to a designated transfer location (often
Disney Springs for Typhoon Lagoon or
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park for Blizzard Beach) and then hop on a connecting bus. Think of it as a warm-up for all the steps you’ll be getting at the parks!
If you’re heading to Typhoon Lagoon, consider going in the morning before it gets too hot (or too busy). The wave pool is a lot more fun when you’re catching waves, not bobbing in a sea of people. Plus, you’ll have a better shot at snagging a shady lounge chair for your midday ice cream break.
