Hello! Im am going to be staying at the Pop Century with my family of 5 (kids 7, 4,& 18 mo ) and I'm stressing out about having enough room. Im wondering if I should upgrade to a moderate resort. Do the rooms have closets? I need room for us and bags

    Hello Shelley!

WOW...you ask a great question! Since I have five kids under the age of 10, I totally understand wanting affordable accomodations AND a workable sleeping plan.  When my family only had three kids (ages 5, 3, and 18 months) we stayed at Pop Century for a week.  I can tell you our experience was not bad.  We just had to be a little innovative to make it work.  We placed our portable crib in the sink area underneath the clothes hanging rod.  (This is the closet in a value resort.  There is not a walk-in or closed area closet.  However, there are racks above the hanging rod to store your luggage.)  Then, we hung a "curtain" (a sheet from the room) in front of the opening in order to create a "room" for our 18 month old to go to bed or take a nap.  This allowed our older kids to watch TV before they went to bed without disburbing the baby.  Now, some Pop Century rooms have a curtain already hung up for privacy/convenience.

Even with a little innovation, it was still tight.  Pop Century Resort rooms are 260 square feet.  A room in a moderate resort is around 314 square feet.  I am not sure how much 54 square feet is going to give you with a family of five.  You could look into getting two rooms at Pop Century. That way you would have double the space AND double the bathrooms.  You can also look into the Value Suites at All Star Music.  Our family has stayed there the past two Disney vacations. We LOVE the suites!  You get two rooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchenette.

Would our family stay at Pop Century again as a family of five?  Knowing what we know now, I would probably say no.  (My wife would say definitely no!)  But, please understand it CAN be done.

I hope this helps you in your decision.  If you have ANY more questions, please let me know!
