Hiya, Liz!
How exciting, your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is quickly approaching! There’s so much to experience this summer as we
celebrate #AlltheDisneyThrills. One of my personal favorite “Disney thrills” is resort hopping and making a fun visit to
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa for their great shopping and dining experiences. I’m happy to help you understand what’s possible for making these purchases.
When you link a credit card to your
My Disney Experience account, it’s associated with a Disney Resort Collection Hotel stay to capture purchases made to your resort folio. Your MagicBand is one of
several ways to access all your vacation entitlements kept within your My Disney Experience account, but the credit card isn’t on the band itself. When you stay offsite, you can’t use the MagicBand or Disney MagicMobile for charging purchases, but you can continue to access other aspects of your vacation with this fun accessory.
You can use a credit card directly for purchases at these resorts or a Disney Gift Card or
Disney Rewards Redemption Card. You may also use Apple Pay for a quick way to scan payment without presenting a physical card.
While I adore the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels, I’ve also stayed offsite many times and enjoy the flexibility and variety of experiences these stays offer. I hope you’re able to stop by
Disney Springs for another way to enjoy the magic and make fun purchases without entering a theme park.
Be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for any new seasonal treats available throughout the theme parks and resorts during your stay; Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa often feature one of these special treats when available.
Please let us know what else we can help clarify for you, Liz! We'd love to help you have the best trip ever, so stop by anytime.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Amy
