Hi Emily,
Welcome to planDisney! Your question made me smile! I can give you an example that might help. On May 18th the
Walt Disney World® Resort Monorail's operating hours were listed as 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Magic Kingdom opened at 9:00 a.m. with Early Entry hours for
Disney Resorts Collection and other select resort hotel guests starting at 8:30 a.m. So you would have been able to catch the monorail to get to an 8:00 a.m. breakfast reservation.
My family and I adore having an 8:00 a.m. breakfast reservation at
Cinderella's Royal Table. Since we prefer to stay at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, we are usually within walking distance to Magic Kingdom. I will say that you need to leave as early as possible to allow enough time to get scanned into the park. Once we get into the park during those early morning hours, we love to take a quick photo while the park is almost empty. It truly is a magical time!
As you continue to make
advanced dining reservations, I do hope you plan to visit EPCOT. If so, if you have not yet, make a reservation for
Space 220 Lounge. It is currently one of our favorite lunch locations. Also be sure to use
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering if you need to pick up a quick bite to eat. If you decide to mobile order, do not make the mistake I made the first few times - if you want to eat at noon, check the pick-up times for the restaurant in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App before noon. When I first used Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, I logged on when we wanted to eat only to discover that the pick-up times were 30 minutes or more later. So, just be sure to check those pick-up times at least 15-20 minutes before you actually want to eat!
Emily, I hope this helps! Of course, I will always recommend that you check the posted monorail operating hours when you arrive. In the meantime, keep up the
practically perfect planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
