I’m staying at the Hilton Signia. We plant to visit the Fort Wilderness to go to Tri Circle D Ranch for a pony ride and the Chip n Dale campfire sing along. Are we allowed to take an Uber from the Hilton direct to Fort Wilderness even if no dining reserva?

Hey Howdy Hey Michelle and welcome back to planDisney!

Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is an amazing place to visit. There are so many unique outdoor activities to do that you may even forget that the hustle and bustle of the parks is right around the corner. Getting to and from the resorts can be a bit tricky, depending on your mode of transportation. Let's talk about doing a little resort hopping!

I would have to agree with my friend Jenna that getting into the resorts can be tricky if you are not staying at the resort and are traveling directly with a rideshare service. I will have to add that my personal experience with rideshares in and out of resorts has been variable. At times I do have to show the security guards at the gate my hotel reservation or dining reservation on the My Disney Experience app and for others the driver just lets them know they are dropping off Guests and that is it. You can always try to get through without a reservation, but make sure you have a plan in place in case this does not work out as you want.

If you want to get to Tri-Circle-D Ranch through another means, you can be dropped off at the Transportation and Ticket Center which is the main hub for rideshares for Magic Kingdom. From there, you can take either the Ferryboat to Magic Kingdom or a quick stroll to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. From either location, you can then pick up a water taxi that will take you to Fort Wilderness to get to the ranch. Once there, you can easily call for a rideshare to pick you up from the resort to take you back to where you are staying typically without issues.
