Hi! I'm staying at Grand Floridian and have a friend from Tampa who wants to come up and visit for the day. Would I have to add her to my reservation? Would she be able to park at GF or need to park at TTC?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Danielle!

I adore Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa so much! Not only is it convenient, but it is also a beautiful property that boasts some pretty impressive amenities.

To answer your question, there are a few things that could happen. If your friend is visiting and plans to stay overnight, that is the only time you would need to add her to your Walt Disney World Resort reservation. If she is coming to visit, grab a bite with you, or do some shopping at the resort, she can park at the resort. She will inform the security guard that she is there to visit you and they will let her know how to proceed. If the plan is to visit Magic Kingdom Theme Park, I recommend having her park at Disney’s Transportation & Ticket Center and then hop the monorail to meet you. No matter your decision, you and our friend will make unforgettable memories together. I hope this helps.

We will be here to answer any additional questions you may have.

    Have a magical time!
