    Hello! I’m will be staying at the Grand Californian and have 2 vehicles. When I use the online check-in through the Disneyland app, it lists $25 for self-parking. Do I list the 2 vehicles here even though the vehicles should be free for self parking?

    Welcome back to planDisney.  It looks like you'll be checking in at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa in just a few days. How exciting!  The online check-in service at Disneyland Resort hotels is such a useful feature –– with the ability to receive text messages when your room is ready and head directly to your room using the Digital Key feature in the Disneyland app, you can jump right into the fun from the moment you arrive.  It's easy and convenient –– two of my favorite vacation words!

    I'm sorry to hear that there's been some confusion over parking fees during your online check-in process, but I'm happy to share a few details that can hopefully help clear things up.  Parking fees for your upcoming stay are determined by the type of hotel reservation you've booked.  If you're a Disney Vacation Club Member staying at the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, you'll enjoy complimentary overnight self-parking during your visit, whether your reservation was booked using Vacation Points or cash (non-Member Guests staying on a reservation booked with Vacation Points receive this benefit, as well).  If you're not a DVC Member and your reservation was booked with a payment method other than Vacation Points, you'll be charged a parking fee for each vehicle of $35 per night for self-parking.  

    Since any parking fees that you're seeing in the Disneyland app won't be charged until check out, I would go ahead and add the cars to your reservation to simplify your check-in process.  After you arrive at the hotel, you can visit the Front Desk at any time to verify that your parking charges are correct.  If there's a mistake, a Cast Member will be happy to assist you with making the correction.
