I'm staying at the FW Cabins. What kind of items are included? Soap, Shampoo, iron, blow dryer, etc.? Is there any one thing you suggest that I should definitely take while staying there?

Hi Celia!  Just returned from my first visit in the Cabins at Fort Wilderness!

You will find shampoos, soaps, iron and full size ironing board, hair dryer, port a crib, broom, vacuum, and extra bedding and pillows.  It is really no different then staying in a moderate Disney resort.  The kitchen facilities are large and amply stocked and the maid service comes daily and will make sure the dishwasher is run for your dirty dishes.

One thing that I did that I highly recommend is using a grocery service to deliver some basic staple items to the cabin when you arrive.  You must reserve the day and time on line and the items you wish to receive.  This was such a big help as we didn't have to take more time from our arrival day to head to the store to get food goods.  I strongly suggest the service that I used, www.gardengrocer.com.  Their list of items is quite long and it includes things besides food such as suntan lotions, baby needs, etc.

I would take some DVD's, games, and outdoor fun things to do.  You have a nice deck and a small area outside the cabin to enjoy.  Although we did not have a problem with bugs inside or out I would encourage some mosquito repellent since you are going to be among many trees in the woods.  You will love the quiet of being in a cabin and the smell of fresh pines when you leave every morning!
