I’m staying at the Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel in September coming from canada do you do PCR test for my return trip home?

    Welcome BACK, John!

It's so great to see you again! And thank you for sending another Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR at planDisney! I'm happy to be your planEAR today.

This is a great question. As you know, things just keep changing in terms of how everyone is handling safety procedures due to the ongoing global pandemic. At this time Disneyland Resort does not offer a testing facility. However, about a year ago Mickey did lend the Toy Story Parking Lot to a third-party testing group to set up a makeshift testing facility for everyone in the Anaheim area. We can't be sure if that's going to be available again in the future, but my guess is probably not. Your best bet will be to make an appointment in advance to be seen and tested outside of the Disneyland bubble. The good news, John, is that there are two pharmacies within a half-mile/.80 KM walking distance of the east-side Harbor Boulevard esplanade entrance. One is a Walgreens and the other is a CVS, and both are located at the intersection of Harbor Blvd and Katella Ave. There are of course other pharmacies in the area, but these two are the closest. I've actually been tested at both of these brands back home in Texas and it's best to try to make your appointment two or three days in advance of your desired test date.

Pro Tip: double-check both of these locations now as well as maybe a few weeks before your Disneyland holiday to see which location offers which test, either the rapid result or the 'need to send it off and wait a few days' kind. It's also a good idea to check back with the Disneyland Resort Reopening, Health, and Safety information page as some safety measures that might be in place right now (ie: everyone older than two needs to wear a face-covering while indoors) might be dropped by your visit, or more requirements might be in place.

I know you must be getting so excited about your upcoming Disney days, John! Make sure to keep up with the Disney Parks Blog as well as the official planDisney Instagram account for all kinds of tips and tricks, as well as information about all of the Halloween Time festivities that will be up and running during your visit. And as always, if you have any more Disneyland Resort planning questions, We're All Ears!
