Welcome, foolish mortal, to planDisney!
What a ghoulish delight it is that you found your way here amongst our crew of playful spooks again, Elaine!
Autumn is a bewitching time of year to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth, so you're in for a real treat!
Disney’s Old Key West Resort has a special place in my heart, because it’s the Resort my family stayed at when we went on our first Walt Disney World Resort vacation together. I hope you create as fond of memories with your family there as I did with mine. Besides its close proximity and easy access to
Disney Springs, Disney’s Old Key West Resort gives you access to
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, a special benefit available to Guests of Deluxe Resort hotels and Deluxe Villa Resorts. I’m glad you plan on taking advantage of this benefit during your stay.
If I were in your shoes, I would absolutely utilize the
Park Hopper Option to my advantage! Start your morning in one theme park, take an afternoon break at your Disney Resort hotel to rest, then head to the park with Extended Evening Theme Park Hours to finish out your day. If you’re feeling especially adventurous, do what my husband and I usually do ... Don’t take the break at your Resort and simply Park Hop in the late afternoon to the park with Extended Evening Theme Park Hours instead!
If you plan your park days strategically, you won’t miss out on too much travel time spent Park Hopping between theme parks. For example, on the day Magic Kingdom Park has Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, start your morning at EPCOT so you can take advantage of the quick commute aboard the
monorail. Likewise, on the day EPCOT has Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, start your day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios so you can utilize the
Disney Skyliner to get to EPCOT quickly.
If you purchase
Disney Genie+ service on these days, I suggest booking
Lightning Lane selections throughout the day at the park with Extended Evening Theme Park Hours so you can start redeeming selections as soon as you arrive there that afternoon.
Elaine, I hope these ghastly details help you have a frightfully good time on your trip! Let me know if I can dig up another answer for you.
Boo to you,
Alyssa
