Hi, I’m staying at the Disneyland hotel for the first and and it’s my birthday, can I request a special request for my birthday at the hotel?

Hi Agustin Junior! Welcome to planDisney.

Celebrating a birthday at Disneyland Resort is one of my family's favorite ways to mark the occasion, and I think staying at Disneyland Hotel would be the icing on the cake. In fact, that's how I'm going to be celebrating my birthday in a couple of weeks.

I've got some suggestions for how to celebrate. First, when you arrive at Disneyland Hotel, I would tell the friendly Cast Member at the desk that it's your birthday. Cast Members are always happy to help and work a little magic if possible. They might have a Complimentary Birthday Button for you. You can also pick one up at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park or Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park. When you're wearing your button, everyone knows you're celebrating. You never know what Pixie Dust might follow. I've seen it happen!

We like to book a special dining experience for birthdays. A table service or Character Dining experience might be just the right thing for a relaxed celebratory meal. At Disneyland Hotel, you might try Goofy's Kitchen, which is a Character Dining breakfast or dinner buffet with lots of yummy choices and your favorite Characters. It's a favorite of ours, and it also happens to be one of the restaurants where you can order a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake in advance to sweeten your special day. Your visit is a popular time, so you'll want to book any dining reservations as soon as possible.

Another way to celebrate at your hotel is with a Disneyland Hotel In-Room Celebration. You might want to have someone take a look at that for you, so no potential surprises are spoiled. But I've ordered an In-Room Celebration before and it was lots of fun to pop into the room and discover a special surprise!

Finally, Birthday Ears are a great way to let everyone know you're in the party mood, and I'd also be sure to snag as many Disney PhotoPass pictures as possible. You'll want to be in the pictures with the whole group on your special day. A photo with Sleeping Beauty Castle in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park is a classic or maybe you prefer something out of this world like posing in front of the Millennium Falcon in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland Park.

A very merry unbirthday to you!
