I’m staying at a Disney world resort coming up and I’m from Canada. Can I keep my passport in the resort provided safe in my room?

    Welcome to planDisney, Brittany!

Thank you for sending an excellent question our way. It is a pleasure to help you plan a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

As a fellow international Guest visiting from Brazil, I am happy to share that I always keep my passport in the in-room safe at my Disney Resorts Collection hotel. I do not take my passport with me anywhere because I fear losing or damaging it. I have never had any issues keeping my valuables inside the safe.

To visit the theme parks, I always take my personal ID and a copy of my passport in case I decide to purchase an alcoholic beverage. On one occasion, I only had my ID with me, so the Cast Member told me I needed my passport. Since I am not comfortable carrying the original document, he told me I could use my ID along with a copy of my passport. My husband also keeps a PDF copy of his passport on his mobile phone, just in case.

I hope this information is helpful, Brittany. Come back to visit us if you have additional questions, and have a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

    Best Disney wishes,
    Thiana
