I'm staying at Disney All Star Movies resort. I have a dining reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table at 8 AM. What's the best way to get to the park in plenty of time that early? Minnie Van? Wait for bus? Park @ Contemporary & walk?

Welcome to planDisney, Anna! Thanks for stopping by with your transportation question.

Cinderella’s Royal Table sounds like a great way to kick off your day at the Magic Kingdom. Will you start your day with something sweet like banana-stuffed French toast? Or maybe the shrimp and grits are more your speed. Either way, I don’t think you can go wrong when dining at this breakfast banquet.

The quickest and most direct transportation option for getting to the Magic Kingdom will be the Minnie Van service. You can book this personal ride service through the Lyft app, and the Cast Member will drop you off at a dedicated stop near the entrance of the park. It’s a great way to get around Walt Disney World, and my family especially likes it because they provide car seats for younger kiddos.

Your other option when traveling from the All-Star Movies resort to the Magic Kingdom is the complimentary bus service. We recently stayed at All-Star Movies and found that the busses were running early and regularly in the morning so resort guests could take advantage of Early Entry. Given that resort transportation generally begins operating 45 minutes before theme park opening (sometimes earlier in my experience), you should be able to take the bus and get to your breakfast reservation in plenty of time.

I do want to note that parking at another Walt Disney World Resort hotel—such as the Contemporary Resort—and then visiting the Magic Kingdom or any other theme park is not an option. Hotel parking is reserved for guests staying at that hotel or for guests visiting for select dining, shopping, entertainment, and recreation experiences. Resort security may ask to see reservation information at the gate and parking is generally limited to 3 hours for visiting guests.

Anna, I hope this information helps you plan the most magical Disney day. Pop right back to planDisney if you have more questions or need recommendations for dining, attractions, or vacation itineraries. Our knowledgable panelists are here to help!

    Magical travels!
