I'm staying at a Disney resort for my vacation, and we have a reservation at the Crystal Palace at 8:10am. The actual park does not open until 8:30am for resort guests. When should we get on a bus to get to the park in time for breakfast?

    Hi Mackenzie,

Thank you for visiting planDisney with your question. How fun to have breakfast at The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom! My family loves a meal at this location. Being able to have a delicious meal in the heart of the magic while visiting with pals such as Winnie the Pooh from the Hundred Acre Wood is a wonderful way to start the day!

I love that you made this breakfast reservation early, Mackenzie. This will allow you to enjoy your meal and then head out into the Magic Kingdom quite early to start experiencing all of the magic!

From your Disney Resort Hotel, you can take advantage of complimentary Disney transportation to head to the theme parks. This transportation starts 45 minutes before theme park opening, and given your early reservation, I would try to get on the first bus possible to head to the Magic Kingdom. Typically, this transportation is going to be a bus; however, if you are at a resort near the Magic Kingdom, you also could have the option of taking the monorail or a boat. Do check with your resort when you arrive to see what is your best way to get to Magic Kingdom.

I do want to offer you another option, Mackenzie, and that is Minnie Van Service. While this does come with an additional cost, I think that it might be worth it to help your morning go smoothly and to get you to that reservation in plenty of time. Minnie Van Service is provided through Lyft. You can get a Minnie Van to take you around Walt Disney World property, and this will be just for your traveling party. First thing in the morning, a Minnie Van will likely be a quicker option to get you to Magic Kingdom for your reservation, and might help to reduce any stress.

Once you arrive at the Magic Kingdom, you will need to check in with a cast member and let them know that you are there for an early breakfast reservation. They will be able to help you enter the theme park for your magical day.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Mackenzie! Please feel free to come back to planDisney with any further Disney vacation planning questions.
