Hi! I'm staying at a Disney resort and going to Disney Boardwalk (with resos) for dinner one evening. We would like to go to Epcot and take the ferry over to Boardwalk. Can we do this without an Epcot ticket, but as a Disney resort guest, with no fees?

    Hi Holly!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so happy to hear that you are planning on exploring Disney's BoardWalk. With amazing restaurants, fun entertainment and beautiful scenery, this is a great place to spend some relaxing time during your vacation! The best way to use the Walt Disney World Resort complimentary resort transportation to get from your Disney Resort hotel to the restaurant you will be enjoying on Disney's BoardWalk is actually via Disney's Hollywood Studios.

While you can walk between Epcot and Disney's BoardWalk, Disney's BoardWalk actually attaches to the International Gateway entrance to Epcot, which is located at the back of the theme park in World Showcase. Complimentary resort transportation buses only have access to the main Epcot entrance and to get between the two, you would need a theme park ticket to enter Epcot and walk through the park to exit at International Gateway. However, if you take the bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios, you can either walk to Disney's BoardWalk or take a boat, which will drop you off at any of the hotels on Disney's BoardWalk or at the Epcot International Gateway entrance.

Be sure to check out the My Disney Experience mobile app, which will give you turn-by-turn navigation during your trip using its "Get Directions" feature that utilizes all available transportation options. Please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue planning your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
