If I'm staying on Disney property, can I drive up to Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks somewhere nearby without paying?

Hi Mary! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Your stay at the Walt Disney World Resort is SUPER close now! How exciting! I don't blame you for wanting the opportunity to view the fireworks display for Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky. The show is taking place in Magic Kingdom Park on July 3 and 4, 2019, and the area in and around Magic Kingdom Park is sure to be busy both days!

Since it sounds like you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, I recommend taking the complimentary transportation available and heading to Magic Kingdom Park. Then take the Resort Monorail to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. You can catch the fireworks from the beaches of both of these Disney Resort hotels.

If you having dining reservations at either of the Disney Resort hotels I mentioned or Disney's Contemporary Resort, you can park up to three hours complimentary for your dining reservation. If it is timed correctly, you should also have enough time to view the fireworks. With so many folks wanting to watch the fireworks, I expect the parking lot attendants will be pretty strict and will want to verify dining reservations before admitting any Guests into the parking lots.

I hope this helps a bit, Mary! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
