I'm staying at Coronado next week. I don't know where I'm staying at the resort yet. I'm hoping closest to the Tower since I have a foot injury. Is there anyway to make sure that I'm closest to amenities and transportation?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Cheryl!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! AND...We are so excited you will be here in a few days! There is nothing quite like the excitement that comes from knowing you’ll soon be surrounded by palm trees, Mickey-shaped snacks, and the sparkle of Disney MAGIC around every corner. From that first “Welcome Home” to your last fireworks-filled night, it’s going to be a trip filled with memories that last a lifetime!

Now, let’s talk about Coronado Springs. You picked such a beautiful place to stay! It’s a perfect blend of Spanish, Mexican, and Southwest American influences, with gorgeous architecture, relaxing courtyards, and that breathtaking Gran Destino Tower shining across Lago Dorado. Whether you’re sipping coffee by the water, relaxing by the pool, or admiring the stunning lobby, Coronado feels like a resort that balances Disney charm with grown-up sophistication. Plus, the dining options here — from Toledo to Three Bridges Bar & Grill — are absolutely top-tier!

As for staying close to the Tower and minimizing walking with your foot injury, you definitely have some pixie-dusted options! Once your reservation is linked in the My Disney Experience app, you can use the online check-in feature and add a room request. Be sure to note that you’d prefer a room “close to the Gran Destino Tower, lobby, and transportation due to a foot injury.” You can also call Disney directly and ask a Cast Member to add that note to your file. They work very hard to accommodate accessibility needs whenever possible. If you end up in another section, such as Casitas or Cabanas, you can request a building close to the main bus stop or lobby upon arrival. And don’t forget that scooters and wheelchairs are available for rent if you want a little extra comfort exploring the parks. With that extra pixie dust of planning, you’ll be close to all the MAGIC in no time!

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
