Welcome to planDisney, Ashley and thanks for stopping by with your question.
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge are two of my favorite properties, each with its own flair and flavor!
Ashley, I spoke with a Disney Vacation Club Cast Member about Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and he confirmed that the guided tours of the resort are still on pause. While it’s possible that by the time of your visit they will have resumed, I would not plan for that outcome. All is not lost though! I have an idea that might fulfill all of your WILD wishes.
YOU can create your own mini-tour of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge beginning or ending with a dining reservation. Personally, I love
Sanaa with its incredible views of the savanna (and the Indian-style Bread Service) but some of my fellow panelists would pick
Boma- Flavors of Africa with so many delicious options. Ashley, before or after you eat like a (Lion) King, you can spend some time out on the animal overlooks. There are often Cast Members outside ready and eager to answer all of your questions and share their knowledge about the residents. When my family and I last stayed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas- Kidani Village we learned so much from the Cast Members and felt much more connected to the animals.
Ashley, I hope this gives you some ideas of how to create your own tour of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Now, before I wish you well, I have one more suggestion for a solo-activity, but this time a little closer to "home." Ashley, did you know that you can enroll in the Sangria University at Disney's Coronado Spring Resort? Check out
THIS question and answer by my fellow panelist, Amy for more information.
If you have any additional questions, come on back to planDisney where we’re happier than Zazu yelling at Simba when we can help guests create their own Magic.
