Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Carolyn! Thanks for returning to planDisney with your vacation planning question. It's a treat to meet a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member and I'm so excited to help you today.
Carolyn, a vacation at
The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa sounds practically perfect! The Grand Floridian is the height of luxury at
Walt Disney World Resort--just sitting in the lobby for a bit makes me feel extremely fancy. I love the location near
Magic Kingdom Theme Park and the ability to hop on the monorail or take a leisurely boat ride across Seven Seas Lagoon. There's also a lovely walking path that will take you straight to Main Street, U.S.A.!
I'm happy to report that your family members staying in standard rooms are welcome to visit your 2-Bedroom Villa--they shouldn't experience any issues. There is usually someone at the Concierge desk in the lobby area for the Villas, and you can certainly give them a heads-up that you're expecting some visitors.
We love to build in a day between theme park visits to enjoy our resort and relax a bit. Don't miss out on some fun in the sun with your relatives at the fabulous
pools at the Grand Floridian, as these are open to all Guests of both the hotel and the DVC Villas. The Beach Pool is fun for all ages with a 181-foot waterslide (I cannot resist a waterslide!) and a fun walking bridge that's great for snapping some photos of your crew. The lounge and bar have great drinks and food, too! For a quieter poolside experience, the Courtyard Pool has a more leisurely vibe and a great hot tub.
I hope this information is just what you need to set your mind at ease about your October trip so you can think about which
parks to visit and
where to eat instead! Thanks again for visiting planDisney, Carolyn--don't hesitate to reach out again if we can help with any other questions.
Welcome Home!
Susan
