Aloha Lisa and welcome back to planDisney! I’m so glad you picked
Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa as your next Disney destination. It’s one of my favorite Disney Resorts and like what Moana says, it’s the place where I long to be! I see you have a couple questions about some activities at the Resort, so let’s help you get some answers!
For the
KA WA’A luau, you won’t be eating right away. There’s a couple pre-show activities such as ukulele lessons, flower arranging, and taro pounding demonstrations (exact pre-show offerings may vary). After being seated, there’ll also be an introduction and chant welcoming everyone. If you have any
keiki (children) in your party, they’ll also be served their kid-friendly bento box dinner at this time. Afterwards, you’ll be able to indulge in buffet-style dining!
As for
rainbow reef snorkeling, booking either the one-day or length of stay access is done on site at Rainbow Reef Rentals. The rental desk is open daily from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and you can book snorkeling sessions between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM daily. Here’s a bonus tip, Lisa! Your rental includes a life vest along with a mask and snorkel set, so save that room in your luggage for all the cool and unique Aulani merchandise! I highly recommend getting either a Christmas ornament or some of the Duffy and Friends stuffies since they’re not as common at the other U.S. theme parks and resorts.
After your snorkeling session, don’t forget to indulge in some of the snacks and treats Aulani has to offer! My favorites include the Mickey-shaped musubi from
Ulu Cafe and Mickey Ear Shave Ice from
Papalua Shave Ice.
