Hi, Michaela. Welcome to planDisney!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is truly a magical place! It was the very first resort I stayed at when visiting Walt Disney World, so it holds a special place in my heart. From the breathtaking lobby and incredible theming to the delicious dining options, luxurious accommodations, and African wildlife right outside your window, it’s a dream come true. When it comes to food,
Jiko – The Cooking Place is a must-visit and one of the best dining experiences on property.
You’ll be happy to know it’s definitely possible to walk from Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House) to
Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. It’s a pleasant stroll of about 10-15 minutes, depending on your pace, and the distance is just around half a mile. If you'd rather not walk, you can hop on a Disney bus instead. The resort buses conveniently stop at both the Lodge and the Villas before continuing to their next destination, making it an easy and hassle-free option!
When it comes to pools, as a guest at Animal Kingdom Lodge, you’ll have access to the beautiful pool at the Lodge, but the Villas’ pools are typically reserved for guests staying there. Still, you’ll have plenty of amazing amenities to enjoy right where you are!
The pool at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is amazing! It’s called the
Uzima Springs Pool, and it’s huge, with a zero-entry design that’s perfect for just wading in or relaxing. The whole area is surrounded by tropical greenery, so it really feels like you’re in the middle of an African oasis.
Kids will love the water playground and wading pool nearby, while adults can kick back in one of the whirlpool spas. And if you’re in the mood for a drink or snack, the Uzima Springs Pool Bar has you covered. Whether you’re swimming, lounging, or just soaking up the vibes, it’s such a great spot to hang out!
I hope that's clarifying, Michaela. Adventure is out there! Have a brilliant holiday.
Mike
