Jambo Andrew, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by en route to your adventure. I'm glad to hear you'll be staying just a short trek from
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Some of my favorite meals and snacks in all of Walt Disney World can be found in this park, so if I were you, I'd plan to end several of my days here just so I could enjoy dinner at
Satu'li Canteen,
Yak & Yeti™ Restaurant, or
Tiffins Restaurant.
Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are a great way to arrive at the Walt Disney World theme parks when staying offsite. My recommendation is to go directly from your lodging to the theme parks (or the Transportation & Ticket Center when visiting the
Magic Kingdom Park), but at certain times of day, you will be able to use Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park as a transfer point to board a bus to another theme park. Because
Park Hopping doesn't begin until 2 PM, buses that go between theme parks won't be operational until later in the day. I wouldn't count on using
ESPN Wide World of Sports as a transfer point since buses here generally only go to one or two resort hotels during events and competitions.
I hope this is helpful, Andrew! Best wishes for safe travels with fewer bumps in the road than you'll encounter on
Kilimanjaro Safaris. Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and we'll see ya real soon.
Kwaheri!
