Hello there, Amy, and a warm welcome to
planDisney!
I was so happy to see your question today as it brought back many happy memories from our recent visit to Walt Disney World Resort as Guests at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House. Amy you are going to absolutely love staying there, I could go on about the authentically replicated theming throughout this Resort hotel, and I hope you make time to explore the magnificent lobby to see the largest collection of African art in the United States! Not only that, but you will enjoy the many
benefits as a Guest at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, not to mention the conveniences, which leads me to your question about parking. The quick answer is no, you will not have to pay twice, which I will go into further detail for you.
Amy, as a
Guest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, you will incur a nightly parking fee at the hotel, but the good news is that parking at any Walt Disney World Resort theme park will be complimentary as one of many Disney Resort Hotel Guest benefits. I recommend completing your Disney Resort hotel Online Check-In before your arrival to facilitate
Disney’s Direct-to-Room Service via the My Disney Experience App, this way when you arrive at the theme park Auto Plaza booth, the Cast Member will be able to verify your Resort hotel information by scanning your valid
MagicBand or
Disney MagicMobile pass on your mobile device. You will be presented with a parking voucher to display on your dashboard, which will be valid for use at any other theme park for the remainder of the day if you plan on
Park Hopping.
Amy, you could also check into Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, leave your luggage with Bell Services if your Guest Room is not ready, leave your vehicle at the hotel parking lot and head over to
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park using complimentary
Walt Disney World® Resort Bus Transportation to enjoy your day. If you complete your Online Check-In, you will receive a notification on your mobile device with information about your Guest Room details when it is ready.
Tip:Enjoy the convenience of the
Car Locator feature on the My Disney Experience App or remember to take a photo of your section and aisle number for quick reference at the end of your theme park visit.
It was my pleasure offering a few tips, Amy, thank you kindly for stopping by planDisney!
Best Disney Wishes!
Jacqueline
