    I'm starting to plan our 2nd trip to WDW for my son's 3rd b-day. It would be from 1/27 to 2/4/09. Is this a good time to go? We are looking for cooler weather. We went in April 08, and it started to get too hot. Will water parks be open during this time?

    We have traveled to WDW many times during January. It is also my son's birthday month (and our anniversary!)

    It's a great time to go for low crowds. Sometimes a major attraction will be down for a rehab but the low crowds really makes up for having to skip a favorite attraction.

    You will most likely have cooler weather. We have been in January on a couple of trips where the temperatures were hotter than we were expecting but usually it's jeans, t-shirt and sweatshirt weather. Sometimes jackets in the mornings and evenings.

    There will only be one water park open if this January follows the same schedule used in previous years. This past January Blizzard Beach was closed and Typhoon Lagoon was open 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
