I'm starting to plan a trip for early 2023 for my husband, myself, and two of our friends who will be newly married by the time of the trip. Do you know if it is usually more cost effective to book two separate rooms or a 2 bedroom villa/suite?

    Hiya, Tara!

Welcome back to planDisney! An adventure to The Most Magical Place on earth with friends sounds like the perfect getaway. You picked a great time to start planning your 2023 adventure. The booking window for 2023 travel to Walt Disney World Resort opens in just a few short days on June 8th. This means you can create your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package online easily, and start finalizing all the details of the best trip ever.

This is an excellent question! And the answer is..it depends. But, Hakuna Matata, Tara. I won't leave you without some great tips on how to choose the perfect room or rooms for your upcoming stay. Walt Disney World Resort hotels are categorized into several categories including Value, Moderate, Deluxe, Deluxe Villa, and Campgrounds. If you were to book two rooms at a value resort like Pop Century, the price would be significantly cheaper than a 2 Bedroom Villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. But if you are comparing two rooms at a Deluxe resort like Disney's Beach Club Resort, that 2 Bedroom Villa at Saratoga Springs becomes much more cost-efficient.

So, how do you decide which option is the best fit? All Walt Disney World Resort Collection hotels come with exclusive Guest benefits including extra time in the parks and convenient, complimentary transportation. And, no matter which resort you choose to call your home away from home during your magical stay you can count on being immersed in Disney magic and fabulous theming. My pro tip is to speak with your travel party about your accommodation budget and how much time you will be spending at your resort hotel. If your hotel is space to sleep and you plan on spending minimal time at your resort, a budget-friendly value resort would be my suggestion. You can use the savings to stay in the magic a little longer or add a few extra snacks and souvenirs to your list. If you plan on having a few resort days or tend to take long breaks from the parks, a 2 Bedroom Villa is a great choice. There is plenty of room to spread out, a full kitchen, and laundry in your room. Deluxe Resorts also offer a few extra amenities including table service restaurants, extra evening park hours, and outdoor balconies/patios.

Tara, I hope these tips help you continue to plan for your upcoming adventure. I say set up a Disney planning night with your crew (complete with snacks!) and spend some time exploring the Walt Disney World Resort Collection. Each couple can pick their top choice value, moderate, and villa option. Then you can compare your choices to see what resort is a good fit for your travel party. You can also easily compare price options for your stay starting on that magical day, June 8th!

We hope to see ya real soon!
