Hi! I'm about to start saving and mentally planning for a 2015 trip. I've gone in June and early Aug. I have 2 questions... 1. Is it usually cheaper to go late Aug? 2. Is it as hot as it is in June and early Aug? I felt like I was melting my previous trips

    Hi Cartier!

Melting is a great word to use to describe the summer months at Walt Disney World.  The humidity is at it's peak in August, so vacationing later in the month isn't going to make that big of a difference.  We always spend our children's birthday's at Disney at the end of August and we can usually beat the heat by planning lots of water time.

You can typically save a little money by going later in August because schools are back in session and it is no longer considered a peak time to visit.  I'd say by the third week is when the crowds start to calm down a bit.  Keep your eye out for specials and discounted packages next year.

    Have a magical day!
