Hiya Alisha,
Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for coming back to ask your question again. We panelists always want to ensure we get you the answers you are looking for, so we really appreciate when you give us an opportunity to do so.
Alisha, I honestly don’t think you can make a wrong choice in this instance. You can do a full day at Magic Kingdom Park and then end it with
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. It is doable, and if you want to ensure you can accomplish everything you want. If it were me, though, Alisha, I would do a different Theme Park on Thursday before the party and then revisit Magic Kingdom Park on Saturday. When I do a full park day at Magic Kingdom Park on the same day as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, I am too exhausted to enjoy the party experience. With your ticket for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, you can enter Magic Kingdom Park starting at 4 pm, which leaves you with a lot of time to experience many of the attractions and experiences before the party officially kicks off. Also, if you plan your schedule right, you can rest up before the event. What my family loves to do is start our day at
EPCOT or
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Then we take a break at our resort hotel, nap (a must-do with a toddler), grab an early dinner, and head to Magic Kingdom at 4 pm. With this strategy, we can stay until midnight enjoying cookies and the holiday cheer. Any attraction or activity we missed out on during the party day (or want to experience again), we would just save for another Magic Kingdom Park day.
I hope your question was answered, Alisha. Earlier I told you that you couldn’t make a wrong choice and I meant it. Whatever you choose to do on that Thursday is going to be great! Before I let you go, if you take advantage of the 4 pm entry instead of the whole Magic Kingdom Park day, know you will not be alone. Many people take advantage of this, so the lines to enter can be long. In my experience, if you hold off for 30-45 minutes, the line is less hectic, and your wait will be much more manageable. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
