Hi Sophie!
How excited you must all be about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. Three generations coming together to enjoy such magic. It is truly something to cherish!
You will be very welcome to come to the
Fort Wilderness Resort to enjoy the
Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Singalong held nightly in the middle of this resort. Timing varies according to seasons so be sure and get the latest time for your visit from your resort concierge. The campfires are lit about a half hour before the show begins so come early and enjoy roasting your marshmallows. Supplies such as sticks and the marshmallows are sold there if you do not have them yourself which is unlikely since you are traveling from afar. The show is a 30 minute live music and dancing time which includes meet and greet with Chip and Dale. Following that is a Disney movie so you can certainly make an evening out of it.
Getting to the resort will take time as you will have to get to a park or Disney Springs to catch a Fort Wilderness bus. Once there you will hop on an internal bus to reach the campfire site. To return to your resort when you are done I would suggest you catch the Disney Springs bus and transfer there to the All Star Music Resort bus.
May is a great time to go and it is hard to predict the crowds at any time of year. Generally you might find school groups at that time but it is before the masses of children are out of school in the states for the summer. Weather wise it is going to be quite warm but the daily rains usually are not there in full force yet.
Enjoy and let us help you with any other questions you might have during your planning days.
