im a single mother of 5 (18 to 7 yrs of age). We never been on a fam trip (not even in same car at one time,TOO SMALL,,LOL). How can i plan on a budget so we can stay eat and have fun for once in a lifetime. Cheap hotel, trans, food, theme parks. Thx

Hi Patricia, You and I have something in common! I'm a Mom of 5 too--they range from 18 to 6. Your question really touched my heart, and I want to help your family experience the Magic of Disney World together on a budget.

Your first step is to plan to take your vacation during the Value Season. In order to fit as much info as possible, I'll provide you with a link to a question I previously answered. See: HERE

You will also want to look at current Special Offers. See: HERE. You'll find the "Free Dining" offer to be the most beneficial with a large family.

Focus on the Value Resorts. You will need to reserve two rooms, but they are very reasonably priced

Disney offers complimentary Magical Express transportation from the airport, and provides free on-site transportation as well. You won't need to rent a car!

Purchase Base Tickets as opposed to Park Hoppers. This saves a considerable amount of money for a large family. You'll only be able to visit one Theme Park per day, but given that you've never been to'll need at least one day per Park to even begin to soak in all of the Magic. Even though my family has gone numerous times, we still prefer not to Park Hop (too time consuming).

I hope this gives you a few ideas to start with. I'd love to help you plan, so please send along any follow up questions that you may have. I sincerely hope that you are able to experience the wonder of Disney with your precious family,
