Bonjour!
Welcome to planDisney, friend! Thank you for visiting us with your question today about your upcoming visit to
Disneyland Paris this summer. Wow! What a perfect way to celebrate your 5 year olds birthday! At 36, it is the only place I would like to celebrate my birthday, too!
I’m a proud dad to two little Mouseketeers who recently turned one and four, and we’ve been lucky enough to visit the Disney Parks several times. Travelling solo with three small children, including two three-year-olds, is no small task, but with a little planning, you can have a magical day together.
There are two parks at Disneyland Paris:
Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park (soon to be Disney Adventure World). With just one day, I’d focus on Disneyland Park. It’s home to Sleeping Beauty Castle, Fantasyland, and many classic Disney attractions that you can enjoy together.
Start your day nice and early for rope drop, that’s the official park opening time, you’ll find the opening time in the
Disneyland Paris app. Take your time heading down Main Street, U.S.A. towards Sleeping Beauty Castle. You can actually walk through the castle to see the story of Sleeping Beauty in stained glass, and if you’re feeling brave, head down to
visit the dragon’s cave below!
Fantasyland will be the perfect place to spend your morning. You’ll find family attractions you can all go on together like “it’s a small world,” Le Pays des Contes de Fées, Casey Jr., and the Alice in Wonderland maze. You can also meet Mickey Mouse here for the perfect birthday photograph!
For lunch, you could consider pre-booking
Auberge de Cendrillon, where you can dine with royalty and meet the Disney Princesses. If you’d prefer something more casual, there are great quick-service options nearby too, such as
Pizzeria Bella Notte.
In the afternoon, head over to Adventureland and let the children burn off some energy in
Pirates’ Beach, which is a great playground with space to explore. The caves and rope bridges on Adventure Isle are also great fun and don’t require any queuing.
This summer, Disneyland Park will be celebrating the
Disney Music Festival, which promises lots of special moments where characters will perform classic Disney hits! It will be a fun way to spend time together without the need to queue.
One more recommendation you might like to consider is a triple pushchair. While your children may not all need a pushchair all the time, with the amount of walking you’ll be doing, it can help to give them a rest, and it’s a great way to keep them safe and together as you move through the parks. You will also have access to the Baby Care Centre next to Plaza Garden's Restaurant, which sells a small selection of supplies for little ones if needed.
I hope this helps as you plan your upcoming trip to Disneyland Paris. If you have any further questions, please
reach out to me. I’d love to help!
Have a magical day,
Matt
