Hi, I'm a single mom with 2 13 year old daughters. I'm planning to run in the Wine & Dine 1/2, but I'm not sure if my girls are old enough to be spectators on their own. What options would be available for 13 year old spectators at this event? Thanks!

Hi Sarah!  The Wine and Dine is my favorite runDisney race!  I hope you have a great time!

You are right that 13 is probably too young for them to be out on their own.  There really aren't any places for them at the race.  Most spectators buy tickets to the after-party and meet up with the runners there.

What I do with my boys, when my husband and I are both running, is to hire a childcare provider from the Kids Nite Out company.  They are an independent company that contracts with Disney.  I have loved all of the sitters that have shown up to keep my boys.  They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will come to your room.  You may be able to talk with them and the sitter could possibly meet you with your girls at the after-party.  Or you could enjoy the party and let the girls sleep!

I hope this helps.  Let me know if you have any other questions!
