Hi  im a single mom of two kids a three year old and a seven year old. i was planning togo in aug20-aug 24 in 2012. how many days do you reccomend to stay? should i includ the plus dinning? Is this a good time to go? How is the weather

Hi Patricia!  Summer is a great time to take the kids on vacation since school is out and they are wired to have fun.  The summers at Walt Disney World can be crowded with families thinking this same thing but the later you can come in August the better the crowds will be as schools start up and families have to return home.  If you do choose to come this August please be aware that the temperatures will be high in Florida so know that your pace might have to slow down.  Afternoon rain showers are almost a given but don't let those stop you from enjoying the parks. Buy a poncho and wait it out and continue on!

If your budget allows I recommend five nights which allows you to arrive on day one and settle in and get to know your resort. The next four days can be spent choosing a park to visit. On your last day you can always head back to the parks even if you have checked out of the resort or you can see what is happening at Downtown Disney. This amount of time gives you the best opportunity to see quite a bit without racing and stressing especially since the temperatures are quite warm and your energy and patience low!

Although your three year old might not be the best eater I still suggest the dining plans for you.  Being a single mom you can come with your vacation paid for and not have to worry about bringing money to spend on food during your stay. There are several great plans for you to choose from and you can see them by clicking HERE.  Pick the one that best suits the needs for you and your children and then start a plan. Dining reservations can be made up to 180 days ahead and you can do that on line or by calling 407-939-3463.
