I’m a single mom taking 4 teens to DW on sept 26-Oct 10, we have a 10 day pass to the parks & are camping at Fort Wilderness resort. We are from Canada & won’t have a car. Can anyone give me any tips to make the trip unforgetable & affordable?

Oh my, Wendy! You have such an exciting adventure awaiting you this September. I guarantee your children will always remember the time they vacationed at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort with their mother.

I have an 18-year-old son and travel with my teenage students to Walt Disney World Resort often. I'd be happy to share some tips based on my experience.

    1. Gather your teens tonight to ask each of them to choose an activity, attraction or restaurant that they are most excited to experience. Then, when the trip rolls around, they will take pride in knowing that they each contributed to the itinerary.

    2. Make your FastPass+ reservations early on Saturday, July 28th. Try to grab reservations for Avatar Flight of Passage in Disney's Animal Kingdom, Seven Dwarves Mine Train and Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom Park, Slinky Dog Dash in Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Test Track and Soarin' in Epcot. These attractions are very popular among teenagers.

    3. When it comes to dining, I have one word for you - BUFFET! Feeding hungry teens on a budget can be a challenge. I find that buffets are a great way for teenagers to find something they enjoy and consume as much as they wish. Trail's End Restaurant, right within the resort where you're staying, is one of the most cost-effective buffets in all of Walt Disney World Resort. Consider making advance dining reservations online now.

    4. Take plenty of photos and cherish every minute. As I'm sure you know, they grow up so fast.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
