    I'm single mom of 3 and my son turns 2 on Dec 22. I want 2 do something special 4 him since his bday is so close 2 xmas and 1st trip 2 Disney is perfect. Extreme budget and only can do 1 day and maybe character bkfst - any suggestions on how 2 make special

    Hi Reagan,

    You're right; Walt Disney World is an amazing place to celebrate a birthday!  You and your son will have a magical day together in December. 

    I like your idea of celebrating at a character breakfast.  As far as character meals go, breakfasts are far more affordable than meals of this variety later in the day.  I suggest that you book at either Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort or at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom.  (You'll meet Pooh and friends at the Crystal Palace while Mickey and company will be waiting to greet you at Chef Mickey's).  You'll need advance dining reservations at either of these restaurants so call (407) WDW-DINE today.  Give you son an autograph book (a lovely, inexpensive present) before the meal so that the Disney characters will sign it for him when they meet him.  This will make a delightful keepsake from his special birthday celebration.

    Also plan to stop by the Guest Services desk in the Magic Kingdom (or whichever theme park you choose) to pick up a complimentary birthday button for your son.  If he wears this button, you'll be surprised at the special treatment and warm wishes he receives throughout the parks.

    Wishing your son a birthday that he'll remember forever!  Don't forget to take plenty of pictures for his autograph book.  I'm sure he'll want to remember this special day spent with his mom and the Disney characters.
